Is there mathematics in music?
As someone who loves both music and math, I've found that the two are more connected than you might think. In fact, music is full of mathematical elements, from rhythm, which is basically counting, to scales, which utilize specific mathematical patterns. Even the harmony and dissonance we hear in music can be explained through mathematical relationships between different notes. So, it seems like if you want to understand music on a deeper level, a little math could go a long way. In essence, music is a world of sound built on a foundation of numbers.
